
Resident Responsibilities
As a Resident of Evergreen Seniors Home, we believe you have the responsibility:
To Observe and Co-operate with the rules and regulations of Evergreen Seniors Home to maintain the high quality of comfort, care and safety in the Home.
To Treat with Respect other Residents, employees, volunteers and visitors.
To Be Sensitive to the rights of others regardless of their race, culture or religion.
To Use with Care all supplies, linens, furnishings and areas of the Home as if they are your very own.
To Assist to Provide accurate and complete information regarding your health related issues and prescribed treatments, in order to have your needs met.
To Voice concerns, share constructive ideas and report shortcomings through the appropriate channels, with the focus on improving the quality of life within the Home.
To Understand - that other Residents may have difficulties (either cognitively or physically), taking into consideration that this does not entitle Residents to interfere with the safety or privacy of others. - that other Residents may require assistance more urgently than you.
To Participate in as many of the Home’s activities as you can which are planned for the benefit of all.
To Notify in accordance with Evergreen Seniors Home policy when you go out. This is for your own benefit and safety as well as the staff’s.
To Arrange for a legal guardian or representative for personal, medical, financial or legal decisions on your behalf.
To Maintain your independence with all activities of daily living, to the best of your ability.
